Brilliantly innovative, heartbreaking, and wickedly funny, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH is the landmark musical by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask that is “groundbreaking and undoubtedly ahead of its time” (Entertainment Weekly). This genre-bending, fourth-wall-smashing musical sensation, with a pulsing score and electrifying performances, tells the story of one of the most unique characters to ever hit the stage.
Local director Rick Johnson and local actor/producer John Kish are behind bringing this production to life and diving into the recesses of Hedwig’s psyche. Kish as Hedwig, will be joined by other Bend local theater vet Christie Cappuci, putting her past rock band skills to the test. This production launches the new performance space in Central Oregon, The Greenhouse Cabaret, which will naturally put a twist on any show with it’s location residing within a plant shop.
