Dead Poets – Exhibit/Panel Discussion – Suicide Prevention Awareness

Dead Poets Event will feature art from Nicola Carpinelli raising awareness for Suicide Prevention Awareness.
In addition a panel discussion with guest speakers Mariel Hemingway, Dr. Howard Asher, artist Nicola Carpinelli and others in an attempt at answering questions, sharing experiences, and exploring solutions.
Art will be featured for sale and 10% of proceeds will be donated. This event will run until September 24th.
Bend has one of the highest suicide rates in the state of Oregon, and Oregon is ranked 9ʼth in the nation. The number of suicides per 100,000 people is 15.9.
In 2017, the suicide rate in our county reached its all-time recorded high.
